The frame has been engineered with a perfect balance of ultimate ride feel, light weight, and style. By reinventing traditional road frame shapes, Specialized has subtly altered the geometry to deliver massive gains in stiffness and balance without compromising weight or durability. The result is the lightest frame available, weighing just 585 grams in size 56cm (S-Works). This represents a new breed of road bike design. Ride quality is paramount to the Aethos design. The frame features a perfect balance of front and rear stiffness combined with exceptional ride characteristics. Through extensive study of how carbon fiber flexes and how forces flow through frames, Specialized developed groundbreaking findings that set a new standard for ride feel. The Satin Carbon/Jet Fuel colorway is Specialized's lightest finish and serves as the perfect canvas for custom paint. This Ready to Paint (RTP) option features logos as decals over a clear coat, allowing for easy removal if you choose to work with a custom painter. An extra set of decals is provided to be applied after painting. Please note that custom modifications to paint and graphics will void the limited warranty provided by Specialized for those components.
