The Epic 8 EVO is the fastest downcountry bike on the planet, representing the dressed-up, high-performance expression of the new Epic 8. Engineered specifically to dominate downcountry terrain, it combines unmatched capability, efficiency, and light weight in a single platform. The updated kinematics deliver insanely efficient climbing performance while the Ride Dynamics-tuned shock absorbs rough terrain on descents. Built on a FACT 11m Carbon frame with Progressive XC Race Geometry, the bike features Rider-First Engineered design and SWAT downtube storage for on-trail convenience. Suspension consists of a 130mm FOX 34 SL GRIPX Performance Elite fork paired with a 120mm FOX FLOAT Performance Elite rear shock, providing the perfect balance of support and responsiveness. The complete Shimano XT Di2 drivetrain ensures precise, reliable shifting, while Roval Control SL wheels with DT Swiss 370 hubs keep the bike light and responsive.

This level of performance is made possible through a holistic development approach of geometry, chassis, kinematics, custom shock damping, and spring curve. Spec’ing a 130mm fork, trail cockpit, big brakes and meatier tires dials capability to 11.

Light Weight Integration

Epic 8 EVO gained its major capability and additional features with zero weight penalty. Through rigorous testing in our Morgan Hill, CA carbon lab, we were able to optimize tube weights while giving Epic tuned stiffness, SWAT 4.0 carrying capabilities, and a steering stop.

Epic 8 EVO supports more spirited trail riding by creating a more neutral rider position with its riser bars and shorter stem. 130mm of travel up and grippy trail tires can take you to the edge, while the powerful brakes keep things in check.
