Tarmac SL7 Frameset

The new Tarmac is designed to deliver the perfect blend of aerodynamics, light weight, and ride quality. This pure-bred race machine represents the culmination of Specialized's pursuit of speed, with no compromises. Aerodynamics were paramount to the Tarmac's development. Using the FreeFoil Shape Library to find the best tube shapes, the new Tarmac was tested in the Win Tunnel to validate performance. The result is 45 seconds faster over 40km than the Tarmac SL6 (built with Aerofly II handlebars, sold separately). While aerodynamics were the primary focus, weight was the co-pilot in this race bike journey. The frame weighs a mere 920 grams and stays at or below the UCI weight limit out of the box, without sacrificing aerodynamics, stiffness, or ride quality. The new Tarmac was developed using Rider-First Engineered™ philosophy, with input from world-class test riders from three World Tour Teams. The design ensures balanced ride quality between front and rear, maintaining comfort on long rides while preserving the Tarmac's legendary handling and race-winning snappiness. The Tarmac features simple integration for a clean, fast cockpit that works with any configuration—mechanical shifting, traditional stems, round bars, and more.
